Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ecom University LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Ecom University," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use ecomuniversity.com and its subdomains (including quiz.ecomuniversity.com and watch.ecomuniversity.com), our courses, communities, and related services (together, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
The short version
We collect what you give us (name, email, quiz answers, posts) and basic usage data from cookies.
Payments are handled by Whop. We never see your full card number.
We use your information to run the Services, support you, and market to you. You can unsubscribe anytime.
We do not sell your information for money. Ad pixels from Meta, Google, and X run on the site, and you can opt out.
Email us anytime to see, fix, or delete your data.
The short version is a summary only. The full policy below is what counts.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
Contact and account details: name, email address, username, password (for accounts hosted by us), and profile information.
Quiz answers: your responses to our "Zone of Genius" quiz and similar assessments, and the result we assign to you.
Purchase information: what you bought, when, and your billing history. Card numbers and full payment details are collected and stored by our payment platforms (such as Whop and its processors), not by us.

Communications: emails, support requests, survey responses, testimonials, and feedback you send us.
Information we collect automatically
Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, and similar analytics data.
Cookies and similar technologies: we and our partners use cookies, pixels, and local storage to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure how the Services are used, and measure the performance of our ads. See Section 5.
Information from other sources
Payment and community platforms: Whop, Skool, Discord, and similar platforms tell us about your membership status, purchases, course progress, and community activity so we can run the Services.
Advertising and analytics partners: summary information about how our ads and content perform.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
provide the Services, including processing purchases, delivering courses and communities, and giving you the results of quizzes;
personalize your experience, such as recommending a community or skill path based on your quiz answers;
communicate with you about your account, purchases, renewals, and support requests;
send you marketing emails and messages about our courses, communities, events, and offers (you can opt out at any time, see Section 6);
measure and improve the Services, our content, and our marketing;
show and measure ads on platforms like Meta, YouTube, and X;
keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information in these situations:
Service providers and platforms that help us run the Services, acting on our instructions. These currently include Whop (checkout, billing, community), Skool (community and courses), Discord, Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (website hosting), Google Workspace (email and documents), Zapier (automation), email and messaging tools, customer support tools, and analytics tools.
Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta, Google, and X, which may receive information through cookies and pixels on our site to measure and target ads. Some privacy laws treat this as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. See Section 7 for your choices.
Other members, when you post in a community. Your username, profile, and anything you post are visible to other members of that community.
Public announcements, when you give a testimonial or agree to be featured.
Legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ecom University, our members, or others.
Business transfers, if we merge, are acquired, or sell assets, in which case your information may be transferred to the new owner.
With your consent or at your direction.
4. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes, such as keeping records of purchases, resolving disputes, and complying with the law. Account and purchase records are generally kept for as long as you have an account and for a reasonable period after, as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Analytics data is kept in a form that does not identify you.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use:
Essential cookies needed for the site to work (for example, keeping you signed in).
Analytics cookies to understand how people use the site.
Advertising cookies and pixels (for example the Meta Pixel and similar tools from Google, YouTube, and X) to measure ad performance and show relevant ads.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. Our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, but we do honor the opt-out choices described in Section 7.
6. Your choices
Marketing emails: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or contact us. We will still send you service emails about your account, billing, and important changes.
Account information: you can update most account details through Whop, Skool, or the account page where you created the account, or by contacting us.
Cookies: see Section 5.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
access the personal information we hold about you;
correct inaccurate information;
delete your information;
receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
object to or restrict certain processing;
opt out of targeted advertising, "sales," or "sharing" of personal information;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
United States residents (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws): we may "share" or "sell" information through advertising cookies as described above. You can opt out by emailing us with "Opt Out" in the subject line, or by blocking advertising cookies in your browser. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of people under 16. You may use an authorized agent to make a request.
Canada: we collect, use, and disclose personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws. You can withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual restrictions, by contacting us.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: our legal bases for processing are performance of a contract (providing the Services you signed up for), legitimate interests (running, securing, and improving our business and marketing), consent (for marketing cookies and optional communications), and legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may be located in the United States and other countries. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Paid memberships are for adults 18 and over. Teens aged 13 to 17 may use free parts of the Services with a parent or guardian's permission. Children under 13 may not use the Services, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party sites and platforms
The Services link to and run on third-party platforms (Whop, Skool, Discord, X, YouTube, and others). Those platforms have their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle your information. We encourage you to read them.
